My Fairy Darkness is a very interesting and well thought out paranormal romance. In this story you meet a Fairy Princess with a split personality. One side of her is perfect for the princess role, but the other is hard core assassin. She is face with treason and betrayal from out side threats as well as those in her own court. To make things more difficult she is assigned a new partner. He gets under her skin in more ways then one.There are a lot of details into the interworking of this fairy world. I love that there is a dictionary of fairy related words in the beginning. I am not very familiar with any of this, so it really helped me keep up with everything that was being discussed.
The main character is very complex. In fact both sides of her personality are very different and complex in their own ways. If you had not know they were inside of the same person you could have easily thought they were completely different people.
My favorite parts of the book were the fight scenes. I just cracked up that she and who ever she was fighting with would just continue to hold normal conversations and even go as far as to answer the phone and make plans with friends while having a room full of people trying to kill them. EPIC!
This is my first book by Ellie Keys, but I hope to read more of her work in the future.

This is not my usual genre, but I really enjoyed this book.
I've learned to keep my mind open to new experiences & that
definitely includes different genres of books.
If you are looking for something new to read you must check
this out.
Some parts of this book was better than others. I loved that it wasn't your Tinkerbell fairy story. I always wanted to be a ninja fairy ) Ari is a princess that needs to learn to stick up for herself since Sapphire (her other half) doesn't as much as she should. I guess I wanted more strength from the main characters. I do want to continue this series, just to see what happens next.
My Fairy Darkness is the first book in the Darkness Series. This book is about Princess Arabella, Ari for short. She is a very reluctant princess to the fairy realm where she lives. She is trying to learn the rules to being royalty but she really doesn’t want to be there doing that but it is her duty. She is also called Sapphire, well her dark side is known by that name. Ari is a special kind of fairy, with two parts to her soul, a good normal part and then a part that seeks out darkness and death this is the part known as Sapphire, which seems to be there to protect Ari. Ari has a very complicated life since both parts of her personalities have vastly different tastes until she meets Blue, and then she is in trouble, as they both like him too much. And then things get really complicated when Ari/Sapphire gets assigned to work with Blue.
This book was really good. It was a very different take on fairies and the fairy kingdom. The book is written from Ari’s point of view but it labels, for the most part when Sapphire is in charge. This got a little distracting to me at times but not enough to ruin the story. There is some strong language but nothing that would not be on normal television shows. I would recommend this book! And I will be looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

4 stars for My Fairy Darkness by Ellie Keys. This is the first book in The Darkness series.
Princess Arabella Gwin (Ari for short) possesses what her people call a Ne-athe.
This means that Ari has two parts to her soul -one that is good, and one that is drawn to death and darkness. Her dark side's name is Sapphire and many call her the blue widow. Her job is to protect Ari, and she will do that by any means possible.
When Ari is given a new partner, Cobalt, they share an intense attraction to one another. It is a pull that neither have felt before. They go back and forth arguing, and Ari is determined to stay as far away from Cobalt as possible. They finally realize that it is going to take them working together to protect their kingdom and it's people.
Even though I am not crazy about paranormal stories, I really enjoyed this one a lot. It is a quick, action packed read with a small amount of romance thrown in for good measure. I would highly recommend giving it a try!
I gave this story two stars because I disliked the crude language, royalty would not speak like gutter trash in my opinion. I also detested Blue, he is an arrogant jerk with a foul mouth. All through the book I was hoping Ari would put him in his place, but instead she folds. I am not a prude, I just do not care for overuse of crude language that makes the characters sound like thugs of low intelligence. I may or may not try other works by this author, it depends on if all her characters are written the same way, that is to say thuggish. Hopefully her other works are better grammar wise and do not rely on crude language to further the storyline.

This is book one in the Fairy Darkness Series and it didn't disappoint, the storyline was both compelling and intriguing with a bit of Romance and sexiness thrown in..
Ari aka Princess Arabella and her alter Sapphire(two distinct personalities but without each other neither would be whole) Ari possessing all that is good and Just and Saph all that is death and darkness, two personalities one soul..
Cobalt aka Trouble/Blue, is introduced as sapphires new partner and they must work together to protect Ari, with an immediate and intense attraction can they do what is necessary to protect their kingdom? NO spoilers
If your a fan of Paranormal or all things Fae then I recommend giving it a read!
There are a few grammatical errors and continuity issues but they were easily forgotten as the story progressed.. I look forward to reading future works from this author..
